Membership Requirements 

Membership Criteria
 

Article 1: Number of Members 

The number of Association members is unlimited. The committee may admit qualified individuals or organizations as members at any time. Members of the Association include individuals registered in the membership register at the time of adopting these bylaws and individuals admitted as members at any time. 

 

Article 2: Membership Qualifications 

The number of Association members is unlimited. The committee may admit qualified individuals or organizations as members at any time. Members of the Association include individuals registered in the membership register at the time of adopting these bylaws and individuals admitted as members at any time. 

 

Article 3: Membership Categories 

The Association's membership categories are as follows: (a) Founding Members: Signatories of the Association's articles and bylaws. (b) Individual Members: Qualified individuals who follow the procedures specified in Article 5 and pay the designated membership fee become individual members. (c) Corporate Members: Qualified institutions, groups, or companies established or operating in Hong Kong, following the procedures specified in Article 5 and paying the designated membership fee, become corporate members. (d) Student Members: Full-time college students who follow the procedures specified in Article 5 and pay the designated membership fee become student members. 

 

Article 4: Membership Application 

Applicants for membership must complete the designated application form. After receiving the duly signed application form, the committee will proceed with the approval process. Upon approval, the committee will send a membership fee notification to the applicant. Once the payment is successfully completed, the applicant will officially become a member.

 

Article 5: Rights and Obligations of Members 

Members must fulfill the following obligations: (a) Comply with the Association's articles, bylaws, and committee resolutions. (b) Uphold and promote the reputation and status of the Association. Both individual and corporate members are entitled to all benefits and privileges offered by the Association. 

All rights, benefits, and obligations of members are non-transferable. 

 

Article 6: Termination of Membership 

Submit a formal membership cancellation letter via email or mail to the association.Provide your name, membership number, contact information, and the reason for cancelling the membership.The association will follow up and confirm within 3-5 working days after receiving the letter. Please retain a copy of the membership cancellation letter for your reference.Upon successful application, the association will confirm the cancellation of your membership via email.Membership may be terminated if: (a) Members violate the Association's articles, bylaws, or committee resolutions, or (b) The committee believes their actions hinder or damage the Association's interests or reputation. The committee may cancel their membership upon approval in a committee meeting. 

 

Article 7: Membership Application Procedures 

Submitting Membership Form: Applicants must complete and submit the official membership application form, including detailed personal or company information and reasons for becoming a member. Review Process: The Association's committee or membership affairs department will conduct regular reviews of applications every 2 to 3 weeks. Approval Notification: After passing the review, the membership affairs department will issue an approval notification to the applicant, confirming their official member status. 

Article 8: Term of Executive Committee Members 

The term of office for executive committee members is 3 years, and a new election will be conducted upon completion of the term.The election process, including nominations and voting, is organized and supervised by the General Assembly of Members.

Article 9: Membership Fees

All members, including committee members, individual members, corporate members, and students, are required to pay annual membership fees according to the regulations.The amount of membership fees is regularly reviewed and recommended by the current executive committee, and ultimately approved by the General Assembly of Members.The payment methods and due dates for membership fees will be detailed in the association's bylaws.

Membership Qualifications: Professionals, industry practitioners, or individuals with an understanding or interest in network security seeking knowledge or career development in the industry. Payment of Fees: Applicants should be aware of the fees involved and prepared to make the payment. Compliance with Association Rules and Regulations: Applicants must abide by the Association's rules and regulations, including ethical standards and participation in Association activities. Violations may result in membership termination. Active Participation: Members should actively participate in the Association's activities and contribute their professional knowledge and experience to promote the Association's development and common interests.
