HKCNSA visited the ITIB to discuss new developments in cybersecurity

On March 12th, Hong Kong China Network Security Association (HKCNSA) visited the Innovation, Technology and lndustry Bureau (ITIB) to discuss new developments in network security. The delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with Ms. Lillian Cheong, Under Secretary for ITIB, Mr. Eric Chan, Chief Public Mission Officer of Cyberport, and Mr. Gordon Cheung, Assistant Secretary for ITIB (New Industry). Led by Chairman Mr. David Ip, several vice chairmen of HKCNSA attended the exchange, where important topics such as the development of cybersecurity in the Hong Kong market, talent cultivation, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and the introduction of mainland Chinese companies were explored.

Through this exchange, HKCNSA gained a better understanding of the needs and challenges for cybersecurity development in the Hong Kong market, enabling them to provide recommendations and strategies for the future development of the industry. At the same time, it allowed Hong Kong government officials to have a clearer understanding of the association's mission and vision, providing more opportunities for cooperation and exchange in the field of network security. Taking advantage of this exchange, HKCNSA's various professional committees will strengthen their collaboration with relevant units, promoting projects that aim to enhance Hong Kong's network security capabilities and contribute to the development of the network security industry.


In the future, HKCNSA will continue to play a leading role in the industry, strengthening cooperation with the government, businesses, and all sectors of society. They will also continue to monitor industry trends and market demands, constantly improving their technical expertise and providing more efficient network security services to members and the wider community, contributing to the establishment of a secure and stable network environment.
