On March 6th, the 2024 second salon of the G20 Security Alliance was successfully held in Beijing. The theme of the event was "New Directions and New Opportunities for Cybersecurity in China," bringing together a number of industry elites and expert scholars to share industry experiences, and explore new paths for the development of cybersecurity. Mr. David Ip, the founding chairman of the Hong Kong China Network Security Association (HKCNSA), Mr. Cheng Du, co-founder of the Qingteng Cloud Security, an HKCNSA's corporate member, Mr. Rong Yu, senior director of Hillstone, Mr. Li Gang, China Information Security Magazine, and several industry experts attended the event to discuss the latest trends in cybersecurity in China.
During the event, Mr. Andy Wu, Head of Investment Promotion of InvestHK, shared insights on investment policies for Chinese cybersecurity companies in the Hong Kong market, providing important information and guidance for participants interested in the Hong Kong market. He introduced the investment environment and policy support for cybersecurity in Hong Kong, encouraging Chinese cybersecurity companies to actively participate in market expansion and cooperation in Hong Kong.
Mr. James Wang, Research Director of IDC China, shared observations on the global and Chinese cybersecurity market in 2024. He pointed out that the trends of software and service-oriented approaches are driving enterprises overseas to seek broader development opportunities and to seize global technological hotspots, which is conducive to expanding market share. At the same time, he emphasized that with the rapid growth of IoT security, the cybersecurity situation is becoming more severe, and Managed Security Services (MSS) have become essential for cybersecurity infrastructure.
